Wellness Nourishing the Ripple Effect

“It takes but one person, one moment, one conviction, to start a ripple of change.” – Donna Brazile

Nourishing the Ripple Effect

There is a tendency for us as humans to either be very selfish and led by the ego with actions that don’t consider other or we can be very self-sacrificing and put everyone else first. Both of these can be very detrimental to ourselves and those who we care about.

Nourishing the Ripple Effect

There is a reason on airplanes why they tell you to put your oxygen mask on first. So you can better help those around you and not be a liability to someone else.

When we aren’t taking care of ourselves spiritually, mentally or physically not only do we suffer but we aren’t able to be present and full of energy for all of the responsibilities we have in our lives, like our family and our jobs. We are also going down a road that can lead to injury, sickness and disease in our bodies and then we are the ones that need to be taken care of. I think we can all agree that we don’t want a life like this.

Nourishing ourselves starts with prioritizing time for you in your day. Plan out your week with the best time to do the most nourishing activities for you. Maybe it is a morning meditation practice followed by a Green Smoothie. You might have to wake up earlier but it will be well worth the effort. It might be a trip to the gym after work. Whatever you choose it should be priority number one for that day. Having a back-up plan is also important as well. The more prepared you are for prioritizing your health and well-being the more successful you will be.

Prioritize nourishing your mind, body, and spirit on a daily basis and watch as the ripple effects that are created spread to all of those wonderful people in your life and in turn nourishes them.

Be the Ripple!
