Exercise Gainz for Gamers

Gainz for Gamers

Gaming isn’t new by any means. The gaming world is broad and has a lot of different genres. From fighting games to role-playing games and many more there is a world to discover. Gaming is taking over so much the Gaming community has esports and more and more players are getting sponsorships. Gaming is starting to take over and in the next couple of years, there will be a large spike in the industry. With that being said some gamers sit for hours and hours grinding to get the right combos going and to understand the tech of the game. This can lead to an increase in bad habits a sacrifice many gamers are willing to take. Some of these habits can be tackled early with the right mindset and plan. Here we are going to talk about what gamers can do to still get Gainz.

Get up and stand every half hour to an hour for at least 5-10 mins

This is very important because looking at a screen for hours on end day after day and decrease your energy levels and you can possibly develop bad posture. The easiest way to do this is to stand up every so often and take a breath, gather your thoughts and refine your gameplan. If you have a mission you need to complete sometimes a quick step back can help you get the bigger picture.

Eat before your game to avoid snacking

A good technique to avoid the occasional snacks that follow us to our gaming destination is eating a meal beforehand so you aren’t tempted to snack on chips and other things while gaming some people still need snacks to game and a good way around this could be to have water nearby and eat about an hour or so before you game and depending on how long you are down having a victory meal after (if you are winning that is). A lot of hardcore gamers especially in the FGC will spend hours grinding to get their own skills up to par for the next tournament. A lot of these gamers have twitch accounts and are streaming during this time.

Have your Stream hold you accountable

If you are a hardcore gamer who is looking to make a name for yourself then you would be wise to have a twitch account setup. If you don’t have one already, it is not necessary but if you are looking for sponsorship or to go far with gaming having a source of streaming and connecting with viewers helps a lot. Once you do that you will find that the people in the chat are very opinionated and interesting people. You can use this to your advantage and set up guidelines so they can help you stay on track with getting up every so often or whatever activities you have in store.

Buy some at home Gym equipment and do reps every time you lose

I love this strategy because it gives you a challenge. As you continue to lose you will gain strength and become more motivated not to lose. The really competitive will see this as a route to either get stronger in life or get stronger in the game. It’s a win-win scenario, every time you die or lose a match 10 curls with some dumbbells, 10 push-ups, or 10 squats. Switch between the 3. 1st death do the push-ups, 2nd death do the squats, 3rd do the curls, rinse and repeat. Make it fun have fun because although you are looking out for your health once you start going you can find some fun in it and that’s what being a hardcore gamer is about finding the fun in a challenge.

There are so many different unique and interesting ways to get up get in shape and still keep your gaming record on the track. The best thing you can do for yourself is to invest in your health. If you have the cash and don’t already have one definitely buy a gaming chair, trust me your back will thank you later.
