Exercise Getting Motivated to Start Your Fitness Program

Exercise is as much mental as it is physical and the hardest part of exercise is getting started. Once you have started, warmed up and into a groove, the more you feel like doing and the more chance you have of keeping with a fitness program.

Getting Motivated to Start Your Fitness Program

Exercise is becoming more and more important towards longer and healthier living and fighting off diseases, however the longer it takes you to get started on a fitness program the less chance you have of starting at all.

Therefore the best time to get started is NOW!

Here’s how and where you should start your fitness program and how to get the most benefit out of it:

1. Group, Personal and Online Trainers

There is no shortage of Trainers around and all you have to do is ask around or do a few internet searches. My best advice is to find someone near to you that is easy to get to and look for reviews or check out websites to see which one would suit you. Word of mouth is also a great way to find a trainer, especially if you can see they are getting results.

2. Find a friend to train with

The best way to get started is to get a friend or group of friends to train with you. This makes training a lot more enjoyable as can share jokes and stories. Also if one friend doesn’t feel like training, the other friend can motivate them to come out and vice versa.

3. Train for 5-10 minutes

Even if you feel down and sluggish, the best thing to do is motivate yourself to do 5-10 minutes of training. If you still don’t feel like training after 10 minutes call it a night, however 99% of the time you will get 10 minutes in and keep going.

4. Have a training plan

Write down a plan of the exercises you want to do and when and then make sure you stick to that plan. If it is written down and in a place where you will always see it, there is a lot more chance of you completing the exercises.

5. Take pictures and write down your goals

As with having the training plan, if you take pictures of where you want to get to and goals you want to achieve and look at them every day, the more chance you have exercising to reach those goals.

Try these tips to get your exercise plan started today and you will never look back.
