Lifestyle Finding Your Fit

finding your fit

Do you constantly get the feeling you just don’t fit within the fitness world?

I know we often see the “perfect” body or physique on TV or on billboards and think that will never be me. We get frustrated and disheartened by the images that are constantly placed in front of us. Or you might see others at the gym doing crazy workouts that intimidate you or make you feel unsuccessful in your own fitness journey.

Well, STOP!

Stop comparing yourself to others and their fitness goals. You don’t need to look like anyone else. You don’t need to compete like anyone else. Definitely, you don’t need to be anyone else!

Finding your fit within fitness is about you, and YOU alone.

In order to get the healthy lifestyle you are desiring you need to find what works for you and your schedule, your mindset, and your abilities. Fitness can look and feel so many different ways. You could compete in the Olympics, climb a mountain, walk your dog, or bring your groceries in from the car in one trip. Your goals should reflect what it is in your life that you are trying to achieve. Therefore your fitness should do the same.

Knowing your body and its limitations is the first step.

That doesn’t mean you cannot set big goals and reach them but we all start in different places and we all have to work at different rates to get there.

So sit down today and write out at least 3 goals for yourself. Pick at least one that is Fitness/Health related and the other two can be anything else in your life. Once you have done that write a plan for the next week, next month, and next three months on how you are going to work towards those goals. Doesn’t have to be achieved in three months but you should know where you are going to be in three months and have a plan.

Your steps to success are:

  1. Write down your goals
  2. Track and measure your progress along the way
  3. Celebrate your success, no matter how small or big they are!

Find your fit within Fitness and don’t let anyone tell you that you cannot reach a goal you set for yourself!

Stay Calm and Exercise On!
