Wellness 10 Ways to De-Stress at the Office

ways to de-stress

Stress much? Hell, we all do. That’s why you need to incorporate some of these techniques into your daily routine to find out ways to de-stress that work for you!

1. Just Breath, dammit

It may sound simple but it works. Take a few long deep breaths before you react to a stressful situation or if you just need to remain calm. Think with precision.

2. Move

Don’t have time for a 90 minute Yoga class or time to get to the gym, just do 3-4 yoga poses or take a walk around the block. You’ll return refreshed and clear minded.

3. Show Gratitude

Remember the things you are grateful for. Your stress levels will decrease as you raise your vibration of gratitude. Feeling grateful will keep you calm and bring you peace to external factors that may be pulling you the other way.

You don’t have to spend hours meditating in a cave in the Himalayas, just enjoy a few minutes of quiet time. Find a cool space to kick back and close your eyes. Rebooting the brain is needed in high-stress environments.

5. De-Clutter

Clutter creates stress. Take just a few minutes to clear off your desk or clear out any distracting piles. You will feel relaxed and be able to think clearer.

6. Positive Affirmations

Use positive statements to re-boot your troubling thoughts. – I Am At Peace – All Is Well – I’m Doing The Best I Can

7. Step Away From Your Electronics

Even though we have benefited tremendously from technology (at least those who know how to use it), there are times when we can go into overload. Take just a few minutes to step away from the computer and your phones. When you go to bed, turn your phone to “sleep mode” and set an alarm to turn back on. The less distractions, the better sleep you will get.

8. Let Go of the Small Stuff

Life isn’t perfect. Sometimes life’s bumps and detours can end up bringing you joy. Detach from your “ideal” outcome and allow life to carry on.9. Be Present

We spend a lot of time worrying about the future and bemoaning the past. Both of which keep you from enjoying the present moment.

10. Reduce Bad News

Limit the time you spend watching and listening to the news, but more importantly SOCIAL MEDIA. It’s all negative and stressful. This will only increase your stress levels and take time off of your life by listening to gossipers talk nonsense.

I hope these will work for some of you! BE WELL EVERYBODY!
