Welcome to the 30-day full Hybrid Strength and Running program!: This program is 4 weeks in total and is the perfect introduction to the program as I have designed this program to focus on Strength, lean muscle, dropping body fat and improving overall body composition. The weeks throughout the 30 day program consists of: 3 x Strength sessions with all completely different focus areas to allow you to see maximum results early in the way you feel and look. 3 x Running sessions that will build over the course of the first phase and as well as the whole program. The running sessions will always be different and have different focus points depending on the phase you are in. 1 x Mobility session - This session is one that I personally use and swear by. The ultimate tool for allowing the body and mind to recover as well the benefits physically/emotionally you get from incorporating these in weekly. Welcome to Your 12-Week In-Season Football Program. Glad you're here, Let's get into it! This program was built with one goal in mind - keeping you at your best when it matters most. In-season training is where a lot of players fall off. The games stack up, the body takes a beating, and training either gets dropped entirely or stays the same when it shouldn't. This program fixes that. It's designed specifically around the demands of football to keep you strong, fast, and durable from Round 1 through to finals. This program is built to help you: ✅ Maintain and build strength without compromising recovery ✅ Stay explosive and powerful throughout the full season ✅ Improve your running capacity and on-field conditioning ✅ Reduce injury risk through structured loading and mobility work ✅ Show up to every game feeling physically ready to perform The structure is straightforward but deliberate: → 2-3x weekly strength sessions, programmed around your game schedule with smart loading → Structured running sessions targeting football-specific energy systems — speed, repeat efforts, and aerobic base → Mobility and recovery work built into the program to keep you training and playing consistently → Progressive overload managed week to week so you're peaking at the right times, not grinding yourself into the ground The program runs across 3 phases of 4 weeks each. Each phase shifts in focus — from building a base early in the season, to maintaining and expressing qualities in the middle block, to sharpening up for the back end when it counts. Nothing random. Everything has a reason. This is the same approach I used throughout my AFL career and have since applied with footballers looking to stay on top of their physical output across a long, demanding season. It works because it respects the reality of in-season life, games, travel, soreness, and the need to actually perform on the weekend. We will track your sessions, communicate weekly and use the check-ins to stay on top of how your body is responding. The program adapts when it needs to but only if you're communicating. A former AFL football player and current Owner/Coach and mentor of Zac Langdon Fitness.
I grew up in Western Australia playing Football for almost 20 years, I was fortunate enough to be drafted into the AFL in 2017 and live out my child-hood dream of playing professionally at the highest level.
I am the head coach of my business Zac Langdon Fitness currently helping over 500 people, I am working with a large number of clients across Australia and have now spread to the UK and America.
