Mary started her fitness career at University of Arkansas Rich Mountain Community College where she fell in love with Kickboxing and Dance. She started training as an instructor and became certified in Kickboxing in the spring of 2004 while 8 months pregnant with her first child. She’s worked as a trainer in gyms like Lavender & Lime in Greenwood Arkansas, Fort Smith Athletic Club and also worked as the Personal Training Manager for 10Gym, Fort Smith Arkansas. She completed massage school in 2017 and her training as a MT allows her to better utilize techniques that help her clients recover faster from injuries, ROM issues, and tight or sore muscles. She opened her own studio in 2013 as West Arkansas Fit Club where she specialized in women's fitness, training women of all body types and fitness levels. She is proud to say she’s helped hundreds of women reach their fitness goals and changed the way they feel about fitness along the way. She rebranded in 2020/2021 to Fit & Fab with Mary to reflect her transitioning from female specific training to functional fitness for everyone. And most recently opened Fit Culture Fort Smith where she continues to develop skills necessary to train a diverse population, both men and women, along with persons with specific training needs such as amputees, stroke, etc..She believes fitness should be specific to lifestyle and starts with the inside. Healthy mind, healthy body. Strong mind, strong body. Her approach to fitness is holistic, meeting the individual where they are at, mind and body, and developing a program that takes their lifestyle into consideration, including environmental stressors. Outside of her passion for fitness, Mary has a full life; she loves to travel, and she is the proud mother to two grown children, 2 grand pups and 2 grand cats.
