I have been cycling for over 13 years. I began taking cycling classes when I was 23 and very overweight. I could barely do any cardio, and I found cycling was something I enjoyed and didn't feel too much pain. I worked hard for 4 years to lose weight, and I eventually decided to get certified in teaching cycling. From there, I worked in various gyms and studios throughout San Diego. Each gym training in me in their specific style of cycling. I worked in all-women gyms where female empowerment was the theme. I also received my personal training certification, TRX certification, and yoga. I eventually moved to northern California where I took to the mountains and brought outdoor cycling indoors from my personal experience. I took a few years off cycling instructor when I got pregnant in 2020, but I still mountain biked until I was 7 months pregnant. To this day, I bike almost every day with my son, and I love instructing cycling indoors as well. I love explaining how to feel on the bike, teaching proper form, and putting playlists together that motivate people to dig deep and have both a physical and emotional ride. My day-job is a psychologist and I love being able to support people on their journey whether it be mentally or physically, or both.
