This beginner cyclical boxing program is designed to build foundational skills, sharpen movement patterns, and develop conditioning for new boxers. Phase 1: Movement & Coordination (Weeks 1–4) Week 1: Shadowboxing Fundamentals Learn stance, basic punches, and footwork while building solo rhythm and control. Week 2: Side-Stepping & Lateral Movement Improve defensive positioning and ring awareness through controlled side-stepping drills. Week 3: Angle Changes & Pivoting Develop the ability to shift direction, create openings, and evade counters. Week 4: Skipping Variations Use jump rope drills to enhance foot speed, rhythm, and overall conditioning. Phase 2: Defense, Timing & Conditioning (Weeks 5–8) Week 5: Defensive Head Movement Master slipping, ducking, and rolling to avoid punches while staying balanced and ready. Week 6: Counter Punching & Timing Learn to respond with precision to incoming attacks using reactive combinations.
