About Hannah

Welcome to RINGfit! My name is Hannah and I am so glad you have come to learn more about health and fitness! I'd love to share with you a little about myself and my fitness philosophy.

As a previous athlete, strength and conditioning coach and a personal trainer, I've been involved in exercise my whole life. In an athletic setting- exercise is your job. Your performance is your well-being and you pour your life into your sport willingly. My time as a strength coach taught me the challenges of leading a group of athletes to victory by designing a well rounded annual program that would lead them to success. Currently as a personal trainer, I've been able to work with so many different people coming from a variety of backgrounds and fitness levels in which I can individualize each training plan to fit the client best. In many different settings, I've been given the chance to help others find resilience, overcome their doubts as and reach their full potential! Drawing on my past and current experiences has helped me compile four important characteristics I believe are paramount to a successful health routine that make up the acronym R.I.N.G. Let me share the details with you below!

R: Respect. Honoring your mind and your body by getting on an exercise and health plan that aligns closely with your wants and needs. Your body has gotten you through so much up to this point, and to continue your longevity, resilience, and strength, it is crucial to give your body what it requires most...daily movement, nourishment, and stress coping mechanisms!

I: Inches. Getting an inch closer to your health and fitness goals every day and being consistent with your effort levels will yield results. Some days you might gain a lot of inches by crushing a PR, or attaining a body weight goal. Other days, you may gain an inch by stretching before bed or drinking a gallon of water. Whatever your inch may be know that it matters and it has an effect!

N- Navigate. Directing yourself appropriately through your fitness and health as it changes through your lifespan. Some of these changes are planned (like having a baby) and sometimes they're unexpected (surgery from a ski accident). Break down these perfect ideas you have in your head of "what you should be able to do" or "what you should look like" and focus on what you can do right now to benefit yourself. Comparing yourself to someone you used to be or someone you've never been is focusing your energy on a version of you that is not in the present. Focus on the person you see in the mirror and find humility to do what that person needs today!

G: Greatness. We are all destined for our own version of greatness! It's important to channel your individual efforts towards how you can be great each and every day. Whether it is stretching to relieve chronic pain, choosing the salad at a work lunch, scheduling a massage after a stressful week, giving it all you've got on that last set of squats, or training for a marathon! Your definition of greatness is built by you- own it!

I hope you get motivated by these values as much as I do! Thank you for reading my training philosophy.

Now let's get started!
