Meet me, Erin Milne (nee Gadd), a fitness enthusiast, mumpreneur, and a source of inspiration. My connection to the fitness industry runs deep, thanks to the influence of my incredible mother who was a Jazzercise instructor, Reebok Step instructor, and an accomplished bodybuilder. From a young age, I was ignited with a passion for fitness, and now I carry that torch forward, continuing my mother's legacy while forging my own path in the world of health and wellness.
I found my true passion in Pilates, or rather, Pilates found me. Recognizing an untapped opportunity in my community, I ventured into the world of Reform Pilates, introducing a unique offering to Otorohanga. Determined and focused, I invested in five reformers and soon realized the transformative power of this practice in strengthening both the body and mind.
Balancing the roles of a dedicated mum to my two young children, Harper (4 years) and Blake (20 months), both of whom are IVF babies, along with managing my gym and personal training responsibilities, remains an ongoing journey. I cherish weekends as sacrosanct family time, while my trusty calendar keeps my weekdays organized from dawn till dusk.
As a personal trainer, witnessing my clients' inspiring transformations is my favourite aspect of work. I find immense joy in supporting and guiding them towards achieving their fitness goals, celebrating each milestone along the way.
Understanding the importance of my own well-being amidst my myriad of responsibilities, I prioritize "me time" for my workouts. This dedication to staying fit, healthy, and strong empowers me to better serve my clients and community.
At Otorohanga Health & Fitness, I take great pride in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all gym members and clients. Through frequent workshops & webinars with great Mentors like, Ian O’Dwyer, Dave Liow & the HMC team, and Dr Cam McDonald & the Precision Health Alliance team, I continue to learn and grow, ensuring that my knowledge remain fresh and engaging. My commitment to continuous growth is evident as I stay updated with the latest fitness trends and research through Exercise New Zealand, ensuring that I can always offer the best to my clients.
Having experienced the challenges of balancing motherhood and fitness firsthand, I empathize with fellow mums striving to maintain their well-being while raising young children. I believe in helping other mothers prioritize self-care and am open to sharing my personal journey through infertility, celebrating the joy of having Harper and Blake as IVF babies, offering hope and inspiration to others facing their own challenges.
The transformations my clients experience through my dedication and personalized approach to fitness and Pilates inspire me every day. Witnessing their newfound strength and vitality reflects the essence of my expertise.
