Thirteen years ago I made the decision to take my fitness journey more seriously. After high school I was determined to build confidence, become stronger, and improve both my mental and physical health.
With a background in track/field and junior hockey, I initially focused on running and lifting weights to support my athletic pursuits. Over time, my focus shifted. I worked in the trades for many years and my training shifted towards more bodybuilding style.
As I aimed to put on weight and increase my muscle mass. It was an exciting and transformative period in my life as I learned the ins and outs of proper nutrition, training techniques, and the importance of consistency.
As the years went by, my passion for fitness grew stronger, and I realized that I wanted to share my knowledge and experiences with others. Seven years after beginning my fitness journey, I decided to leave the trades and become a personal trainer. This allowed me to help others achieve the very goals that I wished I had started pursuing sooner. I now utilize a variety of training modalities, incorporating Olympic lifting, resistance training, and mobility work into my routines. I'm especially drawn to the dynamic nature of CrossFit and have found great joy in competing in this sport.
My ultimate goal as a personal trainer is to assist my clients in getting better, feeling better, and improving their overall physical health. I believe in the power of resistance training and provide guidance on nutrition to help individuals reach their full potential. It brings me immense satisfaction to see my clients progress, not only in strength and fitness but also in their daily functionality and overall well-being.
By sharing my journey and knowledge, I hope to inspire others to embark on their own fitness journeys and achieve their goals. Together, we can improve our physical health and create a positive ripple effect, paying it forward to others along the way.
