This is an intermediate strength training program that uses only dumbbells and resistance bands (superbands and minibands), making it flexible for effective workouts at home or in the gym. The program includes three strength training days, each with a specific focus: Lower body, Upper body and Total body. Each session follows a structured format of mobility, activation, main lifts and accessories. The program is divided into two phases: Phase 1 (Weeks 1-3): Start with moderate weights, focusing on proper form and technique. If you're dreaming of six-pack abs, you will love this program with a hardcore focus. This program lasts for 8 weeks and includes 2 workouts: Day 1 - rectus & transverse abdominals Day 2 - obliques, hips, & everything abs They're split over the week on Tuesday and Thursday respectively. Equipment needed: Suspension (TRX) Trainer Swiss ball Bosu ball Kettlebell or dumbbell Cable machine (or try to substitute with resistance bands) If you don't have all of the equipment listed, you can either skip that move, or try to modify it using other equipment. There are plenty of moves to choose from and omit if needed. -Assessments at the start, week 5, and upon completion of week 8.
An introduction to using bands for beginners. Upper Body / Lower Body workouts alternate, 3 days per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There is an included 20-minute core circuit for Saturdays, for those who want a little bit of extra work. After month 1, the movements become slightly more complex and the you're introduced to some new exercises to keep it interesting. This program is ideal for someone with minimal strength training experience, who has access to bands, and 3 days per week to workout. Want to get started, but not sure where to begin? Not ready to walk into a gym yet? We understand. This program is designed for those who have been sedentary and need a place to begin. It contains two 4 week programs. First 4 weeks start you out with the basics, the following 4 weeks increase the intensity. Each 4 week program has 3 days of workouts. Each workout is less than 30 min. It includes basic body weight moves for the full body. If you've been sedentary, this will still make you sore, so don't do more than what's prescribed. If you're too sore, you did too much and need to back off a little next time (just reduce reps, example: instead of 10 reps, do 5-8 and see how you feel). If you're too sore, it's your body's way of telling you it's struggling to recover, just like comparing a sun burn to a gradual tan. Start with just a little, then you can increase reps as your body starts to adapt and get stronger. As the weeks progress, and you're not feeling any soreness 1-2 days after the program, you can begin to increase repetitions (example: if you were doing 10 reps, now do 12-15). Once this program ends, we suggest moving into the Basic Beginner Dumbbell Training Program. We suggest you have access to 3-25 lb dumbbells to start. If you don't have dumbbells, and aren't ready to join a gym just yet, you can find them at any sporting store, or on Amazon to start. Dumbbell pricing ranges from $1-3 per lb depending on the style.

This is the exact same program that we run at our in-person Elevate location in Blaine, MN! We rotate this program every 3-4 weeks, so you get fresh new workouts automatically! Our founder (Teresa) uses this program as well, as we believe that it’s important to practice what we preach! She used to overtrain 6 days/wk with lots of cardio, but learned that females 35+ yrs old need to train different in their perimenopause years due to hormonal changes. The rep ranges are between 5-10 reps with 3 supersets (2 different lifts/moves per set). We integrate some pilates, yoga and physical therapy style moves to help with mobility and stability as we age and lose estrogen (a lubricating hormone), and also to reduce the risk of injury. 4-5 days of lifts/week, 2-3 days off (instead of lifting, focus on meal prep, family time, or anything that fills your cup emotionally & mentally. Inside the online program (in the app) there are videos demonstrating every move. Start with lower weight, and if you have good form, and it feels "easy", then increase your weight load. And no, you will NOT get "bulky" if you start lifting. As a woman, that is very difficult to do. You will however become stronger, be able to do more things around the house easier, improve health markers at the doctors, get a more toned physique, burn more calories at rest, build bone strength, increase neuroplasticity (strengthen your brain), aid your lymphatic system (yes, this is a thing and it's accomplished through lifting and movement), and the list goes on.
