About

Nicolette, or Nic as she likes to be called, was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. This is where she fell in love with hockey. She started by skating on the ice and taking shots on her dad in between periods of his beer league team. What start as a fun thing soon became a passion, a hobby and a way of life. Little did she know that when she was just a little girl shooting pucks on her dad that this was the beginning of something that would shape her for the rest of her life. Nic played hockey for 27 years before a life altering injury took her indefinitely out of the game. She has had the honour of representing Canada on an international level and playing in the CIS for the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns.

You could say this is where her passion for health and fitness stemmed from. Having played hockey at a high caliber most her life she understood the dedication, commitment, and ultimately lifestyle it takes to achieve that level of performance. This is where her mantra for her business came from 212 Degrees is something that was taught to her through hockey. It was about Igniting your potential both off and on the ice, being willing to dig for that extra degree, pushing yourself physically, mentally and emotionally to be able to put her best skate forward.

Nic started personal training in 2011, at first, she was a little unsure if this is what the future had in store for her, but she soon discovered that her passion for hockey, health and fitness had led her into the perfect career. After working in a box gym for a few years, she still felt like she couldn’t help her clients achieve their full potential. This is when she started 212 Degree Personal Training, with the goal to be able to reach out, inspire and ignite as many potentials as possible.
