This is my best intro program for those looking to improve their fitness from Day 1. This features some exercises and movements that will help to build a base level of fitness to help carry you into the Beginner weight loss plan. This 8-week program requires no equipment and little to no previous exercise history. Each movement is accompanied by a video and detailed instructions to ensure proper movement.
This beginner running plan is designed to help you get introduced to running for an approachable distance. Whether you'd like to do your runs on a treadmill or outdoors is up to you. You'll be running 3 days per week, with increasing levels of output over a 6 week period. The 5k run will happen in just 45 days, so it's time to get started!

Hello Everyone!
My name is Jake Jenness and I am a local sports performance and nutrition coach. I wanted to share a bit about my background and how I became a coach.
A bit about my background.
I grew up playing football, baseball, and running track, so I know firsthand what it takes to compete, improve, and push past limits. Whether it was building strength to take a hit on the football field or developing speed to steal bases in baseball, I’ve always believed in training smart and training hard. That passion led me to Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!), where I earned my Bachelor’s in Kinesiology before working with athletes in D1 Strength & Conditioning programs, private sports facilities, and health clubs.
Now, through Apollo Athletics, I combine performance training with nutrition coaching and use tech-driven performance tracking to ensure real, measurable results.
Now a bit about my coaching philosophy.
I believe that every single athlete that I coach is different. Every single one. To me coaching is about building everyone through foundational movement patterns. As a physical preparation coach, my goal is to improve the clients action capacity. To allow them a broader range of possibilities and options. For example, If I can increase a baseball player's acceleration speed, being thrown out at 2nd now turns into a safe slide. Improving their rotational power turns strike outs into home runs. Hence, increasing the amount of options available to them during their sport performance improves their odds of success in an ever changing environment.
I believe that success requires designing training that builds on each performer's foundation. My belief is that an effective coach designs training that foster exploration and promote the athlete to self organize rather than trying to fit them into a cookie cutter model. Not everyone will squat the same, but everyone can squat. Not everyone’s pitch or swing will look the same, but they can still have the same level of success. My goal with my athletes is building buy-in so that the athletes listen and work hard. I relate the movements in our program to their sport, and with time they will see their hard work by their successes on the field. By tracking real numbers through timing gates, vertical, and force plate testing the athletes can actually see their progress. The athletes will be tested every 4-6 weeks to monitor progress as well.
