Let me introduce myself to you, I’m Jason Marquis. I’ve worked in the fitness industry since 2008 and i've been a Personal Trainer since 2014. I'd like to give you a little background info on myself growing up and what led me here to you today.
Fitness wasn't always one of my priorities. Growing up, it was the last thing I was interested in. In gym class, I was the kid that made excuses to not participate and was even the last one in when we would run the mile on the school track. At 16 I weighed in at a l30 lbs... It wasn't until I found myself being overweight at 17 years old that I decided a change was needed. Yea I was an underweight teenager that had zero confidence! Due to this and other factors, I started relying on comfort foods to make me feel better and 1 year later, I was weighing in at 217 lbs! I went from one extreme to the other in a very short time.
I denied that I had a weight issue, and denied I had a food addiction, and one day it just clicked as I'm eating Taco Bell on the way home from work in the car and hiding the evidence in the car so my mom wouldn't see it. That is when I realized I was unhealthy and needed to make changes! Fast forward and by the time I graduated high school I was back down to 140 lbs, and I was starting to hit the gym for the first time ever.
Now I was building some muscle and I was confident for the first time in my life!!! The rest is history, my passion for fitness was sparked at 19 years old and it became a career for me in 2014 at the age of 34. My struggles have led me to help you!
