I'm David Osborne, a former NCAA Division I athlete at New Mexico State University, where I competed as a receiver and decathlete. After 28 years in law enforcement, I thought I knew what it took to stay in shape. What I didn't count on was how much family life, job stress, and unpredictable schedules can wear down even the best routine. Then I turned 54 and learned I was insulin resistant, with triglycerides that were off the charts and 290 pounds on the scale.
Instead of waiting for things to get worse, I earned my personal trainer certifications and used them on myself. I lost 75 pounds and now weigh 215 pounds. I'm no longer insulin resistant and my triglycerides back to normal. I learned something I now share with everyone I work with: you can't out-train a bad diet. I've been an athlete all my life, but getting healthy took more than athletic ability. It took changing how I ate, trained, and thought about my health.
Today I help clients take control of their health, no matter where they're starting from.
