Hey there! Picture this - it's 1993, and I'm just a 19-year-old girl starting her fitness journey in the comfort of her own living room, stepping to the beat of aerobics. A year later, at 20, I found my second home at the gym and by 21, I was lifting weights with the boys. And you know what? Here I am, still in love with fitness!

Funny story, I ended up marrying my trainer. Yep, that's right! I'm that girl. My hubby, Darryl, and I aren't just life partners; we share a deep bond in bodybuilding as well.

All jokes aside, I started out overweight, not knowing anything about good or proper nutrition. Early in my weight loss journey I lost 1/2 my bodyfat in 3 months (one summer). It was drastic, but I loved it and I was deathly afraid of gaining it all back. That started a binge-purge cycle that lasted a few years. If you want to know more, just ask me!

A few years after that, I competed for 3 years and gained an even deeper level of experience with dieting. Competing did not cause binging; at this point, it wasn't about weight loss. It was about eating to gain muscle. If you want to know more about eating and dieting for muscle growth, just ask me.

My true passion is helping people lose fat and maintain it without the bondage and obsession of food. I believe everyone is different and can achieve a fit body with a healthy mindset about food. I am living proof!
