Cliff is a Registered Clinical Nutritionist, Strength and Condition Coach, Naturopath, author, and researcher. He is also a researcher in the area of metabolic adaptation at AUT University and has conducted pioneering research in keto-flu, ketogenesis, and carbohydrate tolerance in individuals. Cliff is the founder of the Holistic Performance Institute - a tertiary college teaching nutrition at the graduate level, and is the author of seven best-selling books including 'The Carbohydrate Appropriate Diet'. He is a former world champion and world record holding strength athlete.
